The Lost Puppy

In a small village nestled between rolling hills, there lived a kind old man named Thomas. He spent his days tending to his garden and walking his beloved dog, Max. Max was a loyal golden retriever with a friendly smile that made everyone in the village feel at home. One sunny afternoon, while Thomas was walking Max, he heard a faint cry coming from the woods. Intrigued, he followed the sound and discovered a small puppy trapped in a thorny bush. The puppy, trembling and afraid, had a torn leg and was covered in dirt. Thomas couldn’t bear to leave the poor creature alone, so he carefully removed the thorns and carried the puppy back to his home. He cleaned the puppy’s wounds and fed it warm milk, then placed it in a cozy basket near his fireplace. The puppy, now safe and content, wagged its tail gently, as if thanking Thomas for his kindness.
